We're never going to get an Accord Si, and for a long time, the TL has been that. It's been a completely complimentary upgrade to the normal Accord, and to be honest, quite worth the money in most instances. The upgraded 2.4 Sedan with the 8DCT will probably put down times similar to the Autobox V6 Accord, and the V6 will probably break 5 seconds to 60. I'm down.

If I was looking for a nice comfy practical luxury-ish sedan I would certainly consider it. I think the concept is better looking than any Lexus or Infiniti in the segment (not like that's saying much) and offers more interior room than the German options in this price range. Too bad I can't bring myself to make such rational vehicle purchasing choices.

A TLX Type-S would be even more awesome, almost as much as a Legend or Integra.
Honda should just standardize the Euro and US Accords.
Also, transverse V6's are fucking evil, even those from Honda and Toyota.

I'm not sure it's even a matter of it being the "rational" choice. Acuras and Hondas in general are very connected feeling cars. I think if people could get over the stats on paper and actually drive them, they would sell better.

By "rational," I mean buying one car that covers most of my needs, which would make a lot more sense than my current stable of a BMW 135is plus a Jeep Grand Cherokee for winter.
My first two cars were Acuras. When I got my license my dad let me drive his old '90 Legend coupe that he had replaced with a '97 Mercedes E420. The first car I bought myself was a '92 Integra GSR.

I loved the GS-Rs. I had a 94 as my second car. I hold out hope every day that they'll make an ILX GS-R with a 250hp, 8000rpm version of the Earth Dreams 2.4 and par it down to around 3000 lbs.

Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll make an ILX Type-S with the motor from the upcoming '15 Civic Type R .

What happened to the GSR?
I had a 90 Integra RS and it was a blast, I dreamed of the GSR often, and later the Type R...

You talking about my personal GSR or in general? I sold mine like 12 years ago.

Yes, your personally.
I let the oil run dry in sub-zero temps and blew the motor about the same time it sounds like you had your GSR. It was just fun, and I miss it dearly. If I had been smarted I would have fixed it instead of buying 97 Civic Ex that replaced it. The Ex was "nicer" in a lot of ways, but the Integra was everything a small import sports car should be...
I keep my eyes open for a cheap local GSR though. I need a fun weekend car to work on during the week.
